Dr. Bruno Massicotte is a Professor of Civil, Geological and Mining Engineering at École Polytechnique de Montréal. He received his Bachelor of Civil Engineering at Laval University in 1982, his Master’s in Structural Engineering at Laval University in 1984, and his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering at the University of Alberta in 1988.
Dr. Massicotte’s professional and research experience has been in two main, and often related, areas: concrete structures and steel and/or concrete bridges. He is a member of the Technical Sub-Committee on Analysis of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, and a member of ACI Committees 342 (Evaluation of Concrete Bridges) and 544 (Fibre Reinforced Concrete). Since 1996, he has been an active member of RILEM Committee TC162 (Testing and Structural Design with Steel Fibre Concrete). Dr. Massicotte is also a member of CSCE, ASCE, ACI and TRB.
