Mr. Vic Anderson is Vice President and Director of Delcan Corporation. He has worked in the consulting engineering field since 1969, apart from one year in the advanced study of structural engineering and structural dynamics at Imperial College and the University of London, England. Responsible for structural engineering, check engineering, inspection or peer review for a number of cable-supported structures including suspension bridges. Responsible for the project management of many of Delcan's large bridge engineering projects including the $100-million Humber Bridges project for Metro Toronto and the $75-million Doncaster Rail/Rail Grade Separation project for CN North America. Work has encompassed the introduction to North America of the technology for the jacking of large structures (on the Don Valley Parkway CP Rail Underpass in Toronto) and a unique bridge engineering undertaking: the sliding of the Dundas Street Bridge in the City of Trenton into its final position after completion of construction. Has designed and rehabilitated a number of major bridges, including heritage bridges, for both vehicular and rail traffic. Projects carried out in Australia, Malaysia, United Kingdom, Turkey and elsewhere.
